˝Patriots˝ Defend the Eastern Division
Should we attribute the change of luck in this team´s history to the fact they finally got their own stadium in 1971, which was closely followed by the change of name from ˝Boston˝ to the ˝New England Patriots˝ as we know them today, we will never know. The only important thing is that they managed to survive those jinx-y years only in order to become one of the most prominent football clubs in the history of NFL.
˝Patriots˝ are the part of the American Football League since 1960, and they managed to join the National Football League in 1970 when AFL and NFL merged into a divisional type of league. ˝Patriots˝ belong to the Eastern division.
Their logo, as well as their official mascot is the revolutionary minuteman, Pat Patriot. The former logo which was in circulation until 1993 and the mascot look the same, wearing the tricorner hat and the uniform of the Continental Army. Nowadays´ logo represents only the had of Pat Patriot.
The colors of the ˝Pats˝ team are Nautical Blue, red, white and Century Sylver combined perfectly into three different uniforms ˝Patriots˝ wear, depending on the League matches they play.
And as it is probably some sort of an unspoken and unwritten rule, this team also has the team rival, this time immortalized in the form of the ˝New York Jets˝ team, and their rivalry stems from their early days of conception in 1960s.
