YMBFKM Moment: "I pledge to be a servant to Barack Obama"

Check this crap out. Lucianne writes: This is the entire video the Obama administration wants to force-feed our young ones - but there's not cite or anything to that. God lord, please tell me that this video is not a part of the school presentation coming up.

The best part is the YouTube comments. Barry is a joke. Check it out - unedited - none deleted:

And then some! We should make a video about this of our own...

I pledge:

-to turn on as many lights as possible,

-to flush the toilet 2 to 3 times just to make sure it went down,

-to encourage the people to not vote in communists like Obama so they won't go hungry,

-to continuing smiling laughing & loving because I never stopped.

-to Never volunteer any of my time because I'm not made out of money and I have a life to live

-to? not to be proud but honorable

-to not brainwash our kids

I pledge to:

buy more guns, shoot straighter, shoot faster, kick homeless bums out of my neighborhood, work for a goddamn living, not rely or ask the gov't for a goddamn thing, demand that my gov't LISTEN to ME, despise? tyranny, hinder or otherwise delay the take over of the US by socialists and eco-weenies, drive my truck as fast and as fuel inefficiently as possible, run over baby seals, shoot the whales, flip off hippies, and not give a fuck about what some pinhead in DC thinks about me.

The best lies are the ones that are presented first with truth and honorable causes.

All those pledges are great, right up until the? small fraction of the video where they all pledge to another man.

I remember a pledge once, it was in schools and it was to this country under God.

Its obvious to me and many other Americans where 0bama wants to take this country.

IF YOU WANT CHANGE, SHOW IT IN YOUR OWN ACTIONS, NOT MY TAXES!!!!!!

JESUS IS LORD

NOT 0BAMA

I PLEDGE TO JESUS CHRIST

This video seemed to be? on the right track, but WHY should anyone pledge to be a servant to Obama?

lucasboden (2 hours ago) +1 Reply

P Diddy pledges to turn off his lights? Are? you fucking kidding me?

lucasboden (2 hours ago) 0 Reply

I don't have any criticism to? most of the video although I think some of them are just as hypocritical as rich televangelists..but I do have a problem with the last statement. Taxpayer citizens are not suppose to "serve" the President. The President is under our payroll. He is our servant; not the other way around.

I pledge to oppose the left wing agenda and the forced socialism that is strangling this country. I also pledge to ignore all the? left wing idiots who made this garbage video.

Txbertie (2 hours ago) 0 Reply

Clearly, some of these people meant well but they all end up looking really? bad, really stupid for being part of it.

i think the collective IQ of these group makes a? grapefruit look like a genius Thanks hollywood i wouldnt know how to live my life without you to tell me.

I agree with bigbullets:)?

How about.... I pledge? never to vote for a liberal again!!!!

Lizzy91438 (3 hours ago) +1 Reply

What a bunch of feel-good, leftist bullsh!t.

I find it interesting that they left the ONE thing out that has helped more people than? anything else: capitalism. One day of capitalism helps more people than an entire year of volunteerism.

But this is the Age of Obama. Capitalism is baaaaaaad. Statism is gooooood

Pledge to be a servant to? our President?

WTF? Isn't it to be the other way around? Definitely propaganda.

AussieOz007 (13 hours ago) +1 Reply

Hollywood airheads, you don't pledge to be a servant to an elected public representative, he should be serving you and your best interests, you are his boss...

I'd really love if it somebody went through the list of those celebrities, and found out just how many have achieved their pledges...

I'm betting not many...

I pledge to form my own opinion and not rely on a self? righteous Hollywood airhead to tell me what i should be thinking or doing.

I stopped going to movies and renting them, so the 'stars' can come out and attack our country. I use that money to donate to people running in congressional races to replace the likes of Harry Reid and many more! And then email them, and let them know that although I do not live in their state, I donated to their opponent! My grandhcildren will not be in school that day, they want our kids their even if they are allowed to 'opt out' of the Obamercial. Because they get funding based on attendance daily!!!! No my grandkids will have a long, labor day vacation as we 'labor' to save America.

OH MY GOODNESS. She REALLY said "I pledge to be a servant to our President". I thought you were joking, Clyde.

Of course this is part of what they were going to show in the schools. I bet they planned to show it as an intro before the Obama speech itself. Where do you think the "what can you do to help our President" business in the lesson plan came from? It's an obvious follow-on to this.

I am sure they will take this out now, but what else would this have possibly been? It's far too long for a television spot. I find it hard to believe that all of these actors did this as a viral YouTube PSA.

Did any of these actors mention "America" or "the Country" or "citizenship"?

There's very, very little of that in the lesson plans, either....mostly "the President", "President Obama" "what does the President want us to do?" "how can we help the President"....and this business of the lesson plans being "inartfully written" is BS. First of all, it's the freaking DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Teaching Ambassador Fellows. Would you think that they could write? More importantly, the whole context is about "what the President wants us to do" and "is the President asking anyone else to do anything? teachers? the American public?" -- so I would love to know how that's all about working hard in school.

I have found myself wondering in the last couple of days if this was much ado about nothing...I mean, I don't like the idea of USDOE developing lesson plans, and it would seem a lot less weird if it was just an education-oriented speech in Arlington that other schools might choose to use...but it's more than that. There's no doubt that the general sense of doubt about Obama is contributing. But this seems like such a transparent ruse, and it's just not plausible that their intent was strictly on the "study hard, kids" line.

  • Without Murtha, Dems now one vote short of pass...

Didn't realize the implications of Murtha's passing today, which include the following...
Back in November, the House passed its health care bill by a narrow 220 to 215 margin, with 39 Democrats voting against it. Since then, the one Republican who voted for it — Joseph Cao — has indicated that he would not support the bill a second time around given the weaker language on abortion in the Senate version. In addition, Florida Rep. Robert Wexler already retired prematurely. Factor in Murtha’s death today, and Pelosi is down to 217 votes — one short of passage. To pass the bill at some point in the next few months, she’ll need to flip a Democrat who is already on record voting against the bill.

  • Republicans and the Populist Temptation could T...

A warning from my favorite economic analyst, Donald Luskin.
Don't think that Republicans can't be sucked in when an anti-Wall Street lynch mob gets its blood up. Recall that Sarbanes-Oxley, the devastating antigrowth response in 2002 to the Enron and Worldcom scandals, was passed with virtually unanimous support by Republicans in Congress, and signed by a Republican president. Recall that last year 85 House Republicans voted for a 90% tax on bonuses for any employee of any bank that took more than $5 billion in TARP money. Investors got some good news last Friday. Stocks resisted following through on Thursday's sharp plunge after (Congress) reached an impasse on bank re-regulation. That's a nice down payment on what investors need a lot more of now: proof that the GOP won't join Democrats in a populist rush to seek revenge against Wall Street.

  • Message to Democrats: Wall St. Sends Cash to GO...

Great news, but these guys were a little late in realizing that Obama wants to destroy all their corporations and confiscate their money. Not quite sure how they missed that.
Just two years after Mr. Obama helped his party pull in record Wall Street contributions — $89 million from the securities and investment business, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics — some of his biggest supporters, like Mr. Dimon, have become the industry’s chief lobbyists against his regulatory agenda. Republicans are rushing to capitalize on what they call Wall Street’s “buyer’s remorse” with the Democrats. And industry executives and lobbyists are warning Democrats that if Mr. Obama keeps attacking Wall Street “fat cats,” they may fight back by withholding their cash.

  • Dow closes below 10,000 for first time in 3 mon...

The Dow sinks below a major psychological threshold.
The Dow, down almost 104 points, had its 10th triple-digit move in 16 trading days. Shares of big banks pulled the market lower, extending a slump that has led to four straight weekly losses.
I can't, for the life of me, understand why bank stocks would be dropping. Inexplicable.

  • Poll: Special interests more influential under ...

Voters are now categorically rejecting every claim or promise made by this guy.... including democrats:
Contrary to President Obama's promises, voters say special interests have more influence on the political process now than they did a year ago, according to a new poll. The poll, paid for by groups looking to curb the Supreme Court's recent campaign finance ruling, found that majorities of both Republicans and Democrats say special interests have increased their influence since the president took office, and they say Mr. Obama has not done enough to fight back.

  • GOP leaders: Don't use current health bills for...

Boehner and Cantor say the Pubs aren't going to be a part of any Presidential photo-op/dog-and-pony show:
If the starting point for this meeting is the job-killing bills the American people have already soundly rejected, Republicans would rightly be reluctant to participate,” the pair explained in a letter to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. They also said President Barack Obama should remove reconciliation from the table. Using budget reconciliation rules to move healthcare reform in the Senate would mean Democrats would only need 51 votes on procedural measures instead of 60... On Sunday afternoon however, Obama refused to say he would start from scratch.

Sad news. Prayers and well wishes to his family and loved ones.

  • I thought of killing myself, says climate scand...

He doesn't need to go that far. But a lengthy jail sentence for the fraud-of-the-century would go a long way.
The scientist at the centre of the “climategate” email scandal has revealed that he was so traumatised by the global backlash against him that he contemplated suicide. Jones, 57, said he was unprepared for the scandal: “I am just a scientist. I have no training in PR or dealing with crises.”
Actually, he's using the term "scientist" loosely there, given that real scientists don't do what he did. And while he may not have any training dealing with crises, he sure was good at generating one: it was called the global warming crisis.

And for Obama's next act, he will, um, wait for it ... >> Reflecting a growing catalog of disputes between Washington and Beijing, a senior Chinese official said Thursday that pressure for tighter sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program could block chances of a diplomatic settlement on the issue. The official, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, was speaking in Paris less than a week after Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton rebuked China over its opposition to stronger measures against Tehran, saying Beijing’s position was shortsighted. <<

Smile. Gnawing on each others' legs: >> Five sources who were in the room tell POLITICO that Franken criticized Axelrod for the administration’s failure to provide clarity or direction on health care and the other big bills it wants Congress to enact. The sources said Franken was the most outspoken senator in the meeting, which followed President Barack Obama’s question-and-answer session with Senate Democrats at the Newseum on Wednesday. But they also said the Minnesotan wasn’t the only angry Democrat in the room. “There was a lot of frustration in there,” said a Democratic senator who declined to be identified. “People were hot,” another Democratic senator said. <<
