Crist continues slide in FLA; Rubio strong

This poll marks the Republican candidates against the likely Democrat - Meeks. Rubio takes out Meeks by 14 points - the same lead he's held for two months. More importantly, Crist takes Meeks by only 6 points - half the margin from previous polls. Some more good facts: In the Senate race, voters not affiliated with either party favor Crist over Meek 47% to 22%. Rubio leads Meek 58% to 22% among unaffiliateds. Twenty-four percent (24%) of Florida voters now view Rubio very favorably, up 11 points from October. Only 7% view Rubio very unfavorably. 66% Favor Smaller Government With Fewer Services, Lower Taxes

Check these two sets of stats: "Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans and 63% of voters not affiliated with either major party like a smaller government better. Democrats are more narrowly divided: 51% favor a smaller government, but 37% opt for a larger, more activist government. "Sixty-five percent (65%) of liberals chose a government with more services and higher taxes. Eighty-six percent (86%) of conservatives think a smaller government is better." First, a majority of all registration flavors favor smaller government. Second, if a majority of "liberals" want otherwise, they must therefore be a minority of all the other groups.
