I am on the mailing list to receive notifications of casualties in our military. I receive them too often. I am going to share the last few not because they are any different from previous ones, but because these people gave their lives for our freedom. Many of us will party tonight; please don't forget those that made it possible. They are not just names, ranks, home towns, and ages too young. They are our brothers, sisters, kids, and parents. They are the aunts and uncles we never forgot but never got to know. Pray for the families they have left behind and their comrades still fighting for us. Staff Sgt. Ronald J. Spino, 45, of Waterbury, Conn., died Dec. 29 in Bala Morghab, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was shot ...

Dr. Melissa Clouthier has a great piece about this disturbing topic: Big government has a very concerning story regarding anti-war activists Code Pink and their relationship with the administration: In a move by the Obama administration that is gallingly cynical and would be considered treasonous in a less progressive era, a message sent by Code Pink and an article published by the left wing online publication AlertNet indicates the White House is working with the left wing terrorist support group Code Pink to agitate the public and undermine President Barack Obama’s newly announced Afghanistan war policy. Top Obama funder, Code Pink co-founder and terrorist supporter Jodie Evans wrote at AlterNet of a White House initiated phone call she received last week, two days after Obama’s Afghan war speech at West Point. The Obama official said the administration wanted ...

You almost have to give him credit; he may have a silly little worldview, but at least he won't put anything above his belief in it. Bill Ayers, the former Weather Underground terrorist, the man who started Barack Obama's career with a fund-raiser in his own home, and the likely author of Barry's autobiography (allegedly), challenged Obama's decision to increase American forces in Afghanistan.
Very few people in the world have worked as closely with Barack Obama as Bill Ayers has throughout his career. Ignoring his idiotic commentary that our presence is a catastrophe for the Middle East, Afghanistan and the people of this country, I have one question:
Ayers has no hesitation accusing President Obama of perpetrating "a myth" and "a lie". Who would better know whether or not Obama is capable of doing just that, than the man who worked closely together with him for all those years perpetrating myths and lies?

First, the executive summary: President Obama announced to our enemy the date we will walk away from the fight. Win, lose, or draw, we are gone in July 2011. Now I am no general, but it seems that telling your enemy that, after fighting us for 8 years, he only needs to wait another year and a half and we will be out of his hair, is frankly idiotic. Oh, and just for good measure, he threw in that we would be cleared out of Iraq by, you guessed it, 2011. Good plan for the ol' reelection bid there Mr. President, not that Obama would even consider such a craven political angle in drafting a military plan. The rest of the speech (full text here) was right out of the Bush play book. The reasons for the fight are just, ...

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following statement Tuesday regarding the President’s speech on Afghanistan: “I support the President’s decision to follow the advice of Generals Petraeus and McChrystal in ordering a surge of forces into Afghanistan. The additional forces in support of a counterinsurgency strategy will allow our commanders to begin the difficult work of preparing and deploying the ground forces necessary to reverse the momentum of the Taliban. The president was right to call for building a sufficient ‘Afghan capacity’ that will allow for our troops to come home, rather than setting a hard withdrawal date that’s not based on conditions on the ground or the advice of our generals. “We owe it to the American people to ensure that Afghanistan never again serves as a sanctuary for Al Qaeda. We owe it to ...

Enjoy ... except for the July 2011 exit date that the enemy can now plan around ... Good evening. To the United States Corps of Cadets, to the men and women of our armed services, and to my fellow Americans: I want to speak to you tonight about our effort in Afghanistan – the nature of our commitment there, the scope of our interests, and the strategy that my Administration will pursue to bring this war to a successful conclusion. It is an honor for me to do so here – at West Point – where so many men and women have prepared to stand up for our security, and to represent what is finest about our country. To address these issues, it is important to recall why America and our allies were compelled to fight a war in Afghanistan in the first place. ...
Lefties love Bill Dupray: "If you are unfamiliar with this guy, he's the kind of moron who shouldn't be allowed out in public without and [sic] escort and a special helmet. Everything on Patriot Room is either 1)wrong or 2) news to exactly nobody." - Daily Kos
Now back to Bill Dupray he's a rising star amongst the right-wing misinformers . . .. As stated in the opening he operates the republican gin-mill called the Patriot Room and uses it as his platform for disseminating his rabid anti-democratic, anti-liberal propaganda and judging by the traffic to his site and google hits he dispenses a lot of neo-con kool-aide. - Barack Obama's Organizing for America community blog
"I really thought that the last [post] Dupray wrote was one of the most brilliant things I’ve read this whole debate." - Dan Perrin, RedState
