Classic liberal headline: New Orleans elects first white mayor since 1978

So what? Who cares that the guy is white? Was this some kind of repudiation of his predecessor, the black guy, Ray Negin? If is was a repudiation, was it because Negin is black? Or was it because he was incompetent in handling the Katrina distaster? Incidentally, New Orleans, as Reuters reminds us in a race-centric write-up, is still a majority black city.

Landrieu, a Democrat and Louisiana's lieutenant governor, won more than 50 percent of the vote, defeating a field of 10 other competitors and avoiding a run-off election. Democrat Troy Henry, a black businessman, came in second. Landrieu, 49, the son of New Orleans' last white mayor, Moon Landrieu, rode a wave of discontent over the slow pace of the city's recovery from Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and rampant crime. ...

I saw this at PR friend Harrison Price's site, and thought I'd pass it along to you here. Pretty much sums it all up, doesn't it?

Finally: The Harry Reid Negro Politician Electability Chart

There was a little known secret political formula residing all these years in the dark recesses of Harry Reid's mind. He apparently told some reporters about it in 2007 for the first time and it was revealed in the recent book Game Change. When ol' Harry heard Obama was running for president, he proclaimed his chances of being elected to be pretty good because "Obama is a light-skinned African-American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." It seems that Harry could have made a killing as a consultant to Negro candidates who might want run for office, because after all, he was right, Obama won. Now Harry is very likely to be out of a job come November, so we thought we would help him out with launching his new consulting career. We thought if Harry had a handy chart ...

Reid has reached new heights of buffoonery and offered a gold-plated gift to comedians. Some of these are hilarious.

Good luck in November chief.

Racing to the Race Card: An Observation on Conflict Building

A guest post by Paul A. Ibbetson, author of the books Living Under The Patriot Act: Educating A Society and Feeding Lions: Sharing The Conservative Philosophy In A Politically Hostile World. Paul is also the radio host of the Kansas Broadcasting Association’s 2008 and 2009 Entertainment Program of the Year, Conscience of Kansas airing on KSDB Manhattan 91.9 FM. It has been edited for length.

In the wake of Gatesgate, both Barack Obama and professor Gates should be taken to task as premeditated race conflict builders.

For those who wish to deny the social advances this country has made over the decades, my personal law enforcement background will no doubt be a disqualifier of my right to speak on this issue. But before you condemn me, let me defend Barack Obama. You can decide for yourself if the President of the United States should be more restrained when talking about events without the facts, or about giving input on the arrests of personal friends. However, I can tell you from professional experience that immediate statements made about the “rightness and wrongness” of police

Video: Harry Alford Continues his Boxer Smackdown on O'Reilly

This is one of my favorite videos ever. Harry Alford of the National Black Chamber of Commerce finally does what I've been waiting for someone to do -- challenge liberals on their use of racial politics.

Some of the awesomely awesome quotes:

"It was like down there in Mississippi in the bad old days..."

"I don't think she can help it. When she gets caught up in a rut or up against the wall, race comes out."

"Yeah (laughing). She loves poor black folks and she loves black folks in their place."

"The way she treated Condoleezza Rice.. was just terrible."

Janeane Garofalo: Tea Partiers are Racists with Big Brains

Janeane Gorafalo, when she's not on "24," is a twit.

JANEANE GAROFALO: Thank you. You know, there's nothing more interesting than seeing a bunch of racists become confused and angry at a speech they're not quite certain what he's saying. It sounds right and then it doesn't make sense. Which, let's be very honest about what this is about. It's not about bashing Democrats, it's not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don't know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. And there is no way around that.

And you know, you can tell these type of right wingers anything and they'll believe it, except the truth. You tell them the truth and they become -- it's like showing Frankenstein's monster fire. They become confused, and angry

Obama's Preachers

Scott posted on the inauguration prayer of Rev. Joseph Lowery. I found the prayer itself to be the same diatribe of racism spoken by the folks that claim that everyone else but them is racist. Cut me a break. So let's look a little deeper into Rev. Joey:

  • In September 1979 Lowery, along with then-NAACP President Benjamin Hooks and future NAACP President Julian Bond, took a trip to the Middle East, where they honored Libyan dictator Muammar Qadhafi with “The Decoration of Martin Luther King.” Lowery also met with PLO leader Yasser Arafat in Lebanon. When an American interviewer later asked Lowery, “Do you accept the popular image of the PLO as a bunch of terrorists?” he replied: "Well, that depends on how you define ...

Where does Obama find all these Racist Reverends?

UP)DATE: Clyde checked into the background of this racist nutjob and reports the findings, which are quite interesting.

As best as I can tell, the "not very Reverend" Joseph Lowery never attended Trinity United Church with Obama and Jeremiah Wright. But somehow Barack Obama was able to find him and offer the gig of a lifetime today. Is there a directory that I don't know about where race-baiting politicians go to get in touch with class-warfare mongering, white-man hating "men of the cloth?" How does this prayer taste, whitey?

Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day

Black will not be asked to get in back;

When Brown can stick around;

When Yellow will be mellow;

When the Red Man can get ahead, man;

And when White will embrace what is right.

That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'...

I don't get offended easily, but
